I received an eARC, from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.
This is book one in the "Sugar Bowl" series. Sela Halstead at sixteen found herself rapped and every since then she has been unable really to move past the horror of it. But one day she happens to see a commercial for a Sugar Daddy type business where women are hooked up with rich man as escorts etc. On the commercial she sees a man that has a tattoo like the one that one of her rapist had. This propels her to ...more

I Love Sawyer Bennett - and so does everyone else and like everyone else she is an automatic read and a favourite author.
This though, wasn't the usual type of story that we expect from her......it was different but not in a bad way.
The book is written from dual points of view, with lots of heat and of course that delicious male that Sawyer Bennett is so good at delivering.
The female character is damaged and has the usual secret that she is hiding her past is just that- her past and thats where ...more

This was my first Sawyer Bennett book and I am about ready to kick myself in the ass for waiting so long to discover this very talented writer. I have had her hockey series on my TBR pile for some time, and after finishing Sugar Daddy, I cannot wait to dive into another Bennett book. From what I have heard this was a different spin on Ms. Bennett’s usual style, a little darker if you will. All I know is I absolutely loved it! I need the next book now! I freaked out when it ended, and when I look

This was a great start to a trilogy! I loved Sela and Beckett! The storyline of Sela being brutalized by a group of men and then planning revenge years later was an unusual and interesting one. I'm so worried about what will happen when Beckett finds out about her plans! Can't wait to see what will happen next!

If you’re like me and the Sugar Daddy trope gives you the creeps, fear not! I needed some girl power and this book gave it to me in the from of a heroine facing down her clueless asshat rapist. Sawyer Bennett only touches on the concept of a Sugar Daddy relationship (WHEW) because of Beck and JT’s business brokering Sugar Daddy relationships. When Sela chooses to spend more time with Beck (her rapist’s best friend), it starts out as a way to get to Jonath ...more

I'm not sure how I actually feel about this story. It's so different from the other books I have read by Sawyer Bennett, that I think I was a little shocked by the story itself or least how it started.
That brutal attack set the tone for the entire story, and I was a bit confused about my feelings throughout.
I understood Sela's motivations for her actions, but I didn't understand how she would be able to be with someone she even mildly thought had something to do with the attack on her.

I have been enjoying Sawyer Bennett’s Cold Fury Hockey series, so decided to try her other books. While this was a good read, the backstory is much darker than the other books by her I have read. The cliffhanger ending makes me want to pick up the next book sooner rather than later. Sela is a strong woman, perhaps because of her past. Beckett is maybe a little *too* perfect, especially considering his relationship with his parents. JT is a perfect villain – one that you want to punch repeatedly
