I want the next book! I really enjoyed this one. I loved Luca and liked Fallon. I understood their problems, understood why they did things, and found their story played out very nicely. There were only a couple of things that stopped me from giving it a 5, but I did consider giving it that rating since I really did like this story a lot. It's probably the first mafia story I've liked reading in quite a long time, which speaks well for the story, since I can be fussy at times.

Anyway, the story c I want the next book! I really enjoyed this one. I loved Luca and liked Fallon. I understood their problems, understood why they did things, and found their story played out very nicely. There were only a couple of things that stopped me from giving it a 5, but I did consider giving it that rating since I really did like this story a lot. It's probably the first mafia story I've liked reading in quite a long time, which speaks well for the story, since I can be fussy at times.

Anyway, the story concentrates on two main characters, both of which we get points of views from.

Fallon is an average, every day woman, who moves through life doing nothing wrong. She works for a charity, loves reading, and is a good friend and person. The only unfortunate thing she has done is having dated the wrong person a while ago - someone who she has no idea has stolen information from the mafia.

Because of this Luca and his associate goes after her with the intention of finding out if she knows where her ex is. However, Luca wasn't the one who was supposed to approach her, the job belonging to his associate. But fate has both Fallon and Luca literally walking into each other, the chemistry between them instantly igniting.

They start a relationship based on half-truths, Luca keeping his true identity a secret from her, which causes trouble in the long run.

What I really liked about this story, besides the characters, is seeing their love grow as well as the troubling side of their relationship, which is mainly due to Luca's secrecy and the danger that surrounds him. However, even with all their problems, their love is still there, it's just a matter of whether it will be enough to pull them through... I'll leave that for you to find out, because the journey through their relationship is a page turner.

The only issue I had with the story was the major revelation that happened from memory in the 80% mark area, but since I was reading it on my kindle I couldn't go back to check whether I missed the signs or whether it really was out of the blue. That was the only time I wished I was holding a paperback, because I was uncertain whether it was me or the story. Still, it didn't detract from enjoying Fallon's and Luca's story, just left me wondering how I could have missed that.

Anyway, I recommend this book to everyone who likes mafia romances. Fallon is nice, Luca is hot, it has all the right ingredients for a gripping story, and will leave you wanting to read FOR LUCA. ...more

A woman who is pure, and good, and just, you want to protect her with your dying breath. How do you live your life one way by light and a completely different way by night? Ones you’re past and present, but the other could be your future? Which is right? What is wrong? How do you choose? These are the questions that wage war inside Luca’s head on a constant loop once he meets, Fallon, the women of his dreams.

Luca was never suppose to know Fallon, he was never suppose to talk to her, and certainly never suppose to build a bond and fall in love with her, but he’s a made man, and the boss always gets what he wants, even if it could end in one mighty huge cluster f*ck!

I loved how you got a raw, gritty, and real version of Mob life in this story. It’s not sugar coated, it’s no fade to black, and there is not fluff here. People are hurt, people become magicians and *Poof* disappear after they have disrespected the syndicate or done wrong. Luca is quick to dole out pain and punishment for their transgressions. However, as scary and fierce as he is when he is handling his business (like a Boss I must say) he is just as fierce, if not more so over protecting and keeping Fallon safe.

I really enjoyed this story and I felt Fallon’s reaction to finding out the secret life of her boyfriend was realistic. I’d be terrified if I was an innocent little lamb minding my own business one moment and then thrown into the slaughter house the next. I can’t wait to see where this series goes from here; all I know is I’m diving head first into book two. I recommend this book to anyone who’s ever loved someone they knew was no good for their heart.

I always love a good Mafia romance where the heroine is an everyday person with no ties to the mob. Fallon is feisty and I do love Luca . I'm rooting for them despite all the drama surrounding them... Lots of great action and sexy scenes..
