It was nice to step back and feel the romance of long ago. Well apparently people especially woman were in a position that if they did not marry well there lives were going to be difficult. It is no secret that woman married as business transactions. This story showed how commonplace that was. What I loved about the story was the way Spencer admired the very thing in her personality she thought were plain. It seems that she was never told how truly special she.was.
