Balsam Grove, North Carolina is a small town in the Appalachian Mountains where this story takes place. The residents have the small town mentality down to a T.

The book traverses back and forth from the past and present in the lives of Aurora & Jaxson. Aurora who was a victim of a mad man that was kidnapping and killing young women, that her father turned out to be convicted of perpetrating.

I can always guarantee that when I pick up a book by KK Allen I am going to get a story that hooks me from the beginning.

Great story, and characters. Plenty of mystery and suspense and a HEA.
