This book was just what I needed! It was cute, fun, had some humor, and a romance with great chemistry. I can count on Vi Keeland to deliver a romance that I'm sure to enjoy, and this one was right up there even though it was super short! I think my favorite thing about this book was what Keeland did with the names of the main characters. She was Riley Kennedy, and he was Kennedy Riley. How funny that was!

Should I admit that I've never read a Vi Keeland/Penelope Ward book? Or listened to one, would be a more apt confession. This short, sweet, funny, and clever twist on the meet cute is an Audible Original and I got to add it to my library for free as an Audible subscriber. I'm so glad I took advantage and did so.

The narration was superb, which it usually is with Andi and Seb, but the story didn't pack the rom com punch I was expecting for this holiday read.

Don't get me wrong I liked the meet-cute and the fake relationship angle, but I went in expecting light and fun, but it ended up with something a bit more serious.

There is nothing wrong with the writing, because I love the styles of Vi and Pen, but I was just expecting and looking for something else. ...more

Really enjoyed this, possibly the first time I've enjoyed something so much by these authors. There's usually a stupid misunderstanding near the end that's completely unnecessary when they write together- and there was a little bit of one here, but by the time it happened I had been so charmed by the story that it didn't matter so much. ...more
