Okay, I admit I gave the first book in this series one star. The only reason I gave this one a shot was because I was looking for an audio book and the synopsis made Winter sound like she had more backbone than Beth did in "Razer's Ride". Not the case! This one was even worse, if possible. Winter is badly beaten and has to have rehab to get better. She wants to go home and have someone stay there and help her but Viper decides otherwise. 2nd reading: exactly five years later, at least that's what I marked on goodreads. I know I've read this one more than just twice because I like to refresh myself before going on to the new one. This time around, I read all the books in all the series - it's much easier to understand everything that way since all the books are set in the same universe.

The series seems to be taking a turn for the better :)
I really liked Viper and Winter even though she had some serious self-esteem issues.
But then who could blame her with all that Viper had put her through initially..
He did eventually stepped to the plate and made things right.. HEA!!!

Winter Simmons had been dating or so she thought Loker James. It had never been more than chaste kisses on the cheek or dinner to events, but when she finds out that Loker James is President of the Last Riders and that he had been using her to find out about his brothers death. Winter feels like a woman scorned and although Loker tries to explain, Winter doesn't want any part of it.
