I have to say that this book really took me by surprise. I have read a lot of NA books and I love them. I love the feel of almost adulthood but still laced by indecision. This is a weird age to be in when you are alone at college and your needs and wants collide and you find yourself making decisions you never thought you would.

In True we meet Rory and Tyler. Rory comes from a middle class family and goes to college. She has never had a boyfriend and is still a virgin. She and her two best frien

Rory Macintosh is smart and an excellent student, but a little inept when it comes to socializing. She’s also a virgin, and her two roommates Jessica and Kylie decide to help her out by paying one of their guy friends to take care of the problem.

Tyler Mann comes from a broken family. His mother is a druggie, and he’s struggling to make a family for his two younger brothers while studying to become an EMT.

The two hit it off, despite Rory learning of the arrangement to help her get rid of her virg

I’ll start my review by pointing out that I loved Erin McCarthy’s Fast Track series and I've had some of her other books on my wish-list for quite some time. I was really excited to get the opportunity to review her latest release True. The new New Adult genre is something I've enjoyed and want to explore more.

I generally enjoyed the story but there were a few things that just didn't sit well with me. With most romance novels I

I have an interesting relationship with Erin McCarthy. I like her Fast Track series, but that's pretty much where things end with her. I've tried some of her other stuff and just...didn't like it. Then there was an excerpt of True at the end of the latest Fast Track book and I have to admit...I was intrigued (which is more than I can say for the beginning of any of the other Erin McCarthy books that I've tried where I can't get more than about 30 pages in before I decide life is too short). So I ...more

True was a great start to a new series! McCarthy's books always resonate with me, and this was no exception. I thought her characters were wonderful, the main ones, and secondary ones also. The storyline kept my interest and melted my heart.

Rory is an innocent, studious, virgin who is headed toward a great future. Tyler is the hard living, tattooed, bad boy struggling to eke out an existence and train to be able to land a decent job. The two fall hard for one another, but have difficulties to ov

I really enjoyed this book all the way until the end. It ended abruptly without an Epilogue which was a let down for me.

3.5 stars. I liked the first half of this book a lot. The second half lost me a bit, but it was a sweet story. I am a sucker for a college romance story so I had to give this one a shot.
