I loved Erin McCarthy’s contemporary Fast Track series and am happy to report that I’m enjoying her foray into New Adult.
I like reading about two people from very different backgrounds or social standings managing to overcome the hurdles and make their relationship work. Phoenix is a bit rough around the edges, but after hearing about his childhood, it's not surprising. He has an absent father and a mother who is a drug addict. ...more

Robin is a college girl with everything going for her. She’s enjoying life and parties hard until one night when she makes the worse mistake ever. She wakes up the next morning in bed with her best friend’s boyfriend and no memories of what happened. This is a huge shock and from this moment, she changes. She stops drinking and partying.
Phoenix is just out of jail and he and Robin click. They’re both broken, but their growing friendship comes to mean a lot to them.

What another great addition to this series! While I loved Tyler and Riley's books this one got me. Phoenix was a lot like his cousins, but at the same time he was so different too. Where Tyler and Riley came off as Alpha males to me Phoenix was a mix between total bad boy and totally laid back, that is until he got angry. Then he was a completely different Phoenix. As I read him throughout the book it was easy to fall for him, the way Erin wrote him it was hard to resist. As for Robin I just fel

Like I said in my prior review of this series each book may be a standalone but the characters in the series are supporting ones.
Angst, secrets and preverbal skeletons come out... Faced paced, page turning engaging read that had me captivated to see how Robin & Phoenix's story unfolds in this third installment of the series.
Overall 4.5 stars

This one had some really tough subjects but I think it wasn't my cup of cake.
I'll write a proper review soon.
*** EDITED ***
Our main character is a girl that loves to party (Robin). She's in college and is having the time of her life: drinking, having sex, studying, making friends... but one night, she did the unthinkable and that was the end of this Robin.
Phoenix is a guy that had some difficulties in life and is starting over. He has the bad boy look and is quick to start ...more

Believe was a great addition to McCarthy's True Believers Series. I wasn't much of a fan of Robin during the first two books, so I was doubtful that I would enjoy having her as a credible main character of her own book. McCarthy did a great job of changing my mind. I ended up liking Robin more than I would have ever expected, and I was drawn to Phoenix from the beginning. I enjoyed the way they bonded, and liked watching their relationship develop. I am really looking forward to Shatter. I recei

I really enjoy this series (which makes it one of two - Erin McCarthy is really hit or miss for me), but I love Phoenix and Robin wasn't terrible. I love the way this fill the overall story arc.
