I was really getting into this in the beginning. Kat came across as the very heroine that I like to read about: confident, self-assured, take no sh*t

Then she became something else once she actually started dealing with Nico. He just seemed to bulldoze all over her, and she allowed it. They talked a lot about trust, but neither really put much effort into actually doing it.

After a while, the relationship just seemed toxic and I couldn't root for them anymore.
