That opening scene pulled me right in. I was reading what Denise (Samiah's sister) was telling Samiah and thinking, "No, this could not be happening." That entire debacle lead Samiah to friendship I feel will last her a lifetime and how we got #squadgoals and the boyfriend project was born.
I love Samiah. She is a strong, intelligent woman. She kicks ass all over the place, but I did feel that she was too passive at times when I would have been like, "Oh, hell no."
