Caelen drove me slap crazy for most of the book. Every time he and Rionna were in a scene together I wanted her to kick him in the nards.
He spent so much time almost breaking her spirit that I didn't warm up till him until after halfway through the book.
I really can't be mad about this because Ms.Banks stayed true to who Caelen was in the previous books. Considering what he went through in the past I am surprised it wasn't worse, but that doesn't mean I had to like it.

Great way to end this trilogy! Poor Rionna finally got her man, even if she didn't know it was the one she wanted! I'm not a huge fan of medieval romance, but I was intigued when my online book club chose this one as its book of the week. Of course, I had to read the entire trilogy in order first and really you HAVE to read the trilogy in order to get the most enjoyment out of this series. Loved it!
