I read this book back in 2018 and let's just say a lot of my opinions and views have changed.
Eleanor and Park's blurb doesn't reveal much apart from being a story of the "tangled web of first romances," 80's music, mixtape exchanges and bus seat dilemmas. Being a romance reader and an avid contemporary fan, I was drawn to this premise, I mean, who wouldn't? It just sounds so cute and fluffy. Just the kind of light-hearted read I always want by my side.
But I was disappointed by this book.

Overall, this was a lovely book.
The reason I didn't give this book 5 stars out of 5 is that, while I like some romances, this book was a bit too lovey-dovey for me. I thought that some parts were fine but the same things kept happening. The end, however, was one of my absolute faves. I would recommend this book to my friends. LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT. But why,Rainbow Rowell? Why? Why did you have to leave us like that. Why don't we know the 3 words? Why did it end the way it did? I need answers. Please. I'm heartbroken. I finished this at 2 am today, and I cried. Cried myself to sleep. Realistic endings are the most heartbreaking. ...more

I liked this book. The ending was spectacular! I searched for books similar to The Fault in Our Stars so I had HUGE expectations obviously. This book was really good though. I found myself rooting for Park and Eleanor's romance through the book. I liked it.
