I'd heard of Doctorow, but I'd never read him until this book was chosen for our book club selection. I am now a huge fan, and will be picking up every one of his books today at the library. This story is set in the early 1900s, and is a slice of historical fact along with brilliantly interwoven stories comprised of fictional characters.
