It's an unbelievable study of a family where half the children (six out of twelve) manifested schizophrenia. The author alternated the study between the family and the psychological and psychoanalytical studies of the disease, the scientific exploration of DNA, of biology, and genetics. There are times when the book dives deeply into the science yet holds the reader's attention.
