These books just get better and better! The Percy Jackson series is one of those effortlessly exciting reads that can easily automatically become a favourite. There’s something so comforting and homely about returning back to camp half blood, with all the nostalgia and sense of adventure that comes with it.

I wasn't hooked as quickly as in the previous books but once I got past the first 50 or so pages, the story took off and I was back to having a cozy good time. We were introduced to a lot of new characters, which was refreshing, and the evil atmosphere really intensified. I'm hoping it's a Harry Potter-esque situation, where the books just get darker and darker. In any case, I'm looking forward to book 4 now.

Characters-9- I love the characters on this book. I love this book because they have the introduction of Bianca, Nico, Zoe, and more with Thalia.
Atmosphere-7- for the most part, the atmosphere in this book is good.
Writing-9- Rick Riordan is always going to be a 9 or 10 in writing for me. I love his style, and the writing in this series is fantastic.
