The Ash-Born Boy follows the origin story of Cole from Victoria Schwab’s novel ‘The Near Witch’.
As much as I found the writing skills more elementary in The Near Witch, the novella of The Ash-Born Boy was so much stronger, and I found I could understand the motivations behind Will, as they were deeper set. I wanted to know more about Nicholas, and what created his kindness.
