A mostly excellent follow-up to London Falling. This time around D.I. Quill and company face what may be Jack -the Ripper resurrected.
The pace drags ever so slightly in spots and where it was justified in the first volume it is less so here. Occult London continues to be creepier and less willing to give up its secrets than most other paranormal series; and more power to Cornell for refusing to give up the ghost easily or to gloss over or speed up the team's learning of information about the dar ...more
