The Mortal Instruments was better in my opinion, but I'm definitely buying the rest of the trilogy and seeing if I change my mind.

I was bored for the first half
Tessa really annoyed me
Will is mean and confuses me
Jem is totes nice and i ship jessa dont judge me
Magnus makes me excite wheeeee
i didnt like the robots idk it was really random like theyre not even alive. let them fight werewolves or something cool, not robots..

Meh. Think this is the third or fourth time I've read this book, and I've still never made it to the second. This time I will though. This is just a kind of average book for me. No idea what all of the hype is around Clare's books. The repetitiveness between TID and TMI is frustrating. I hate it. I loved this solid start to a series and I love where the story is headed. It's so good to be back in the shadow hunter world and the plot in this one im finding so much better than city of bones. Even though I have been spoiled on a few things in this book I'm still really excited ...more
