This was a second go for me and I still thought it was good. I did notice that King got the placement of maryville wrong. He said it was in went texas outside austin. Well austin isnt in the west and maryville is all the way at the border of texas and Oklahoma
This book helped me get over a huge reading slump by keeping me on the edge of my seat! However if you have not read the Bill Hodges trilogy I strongly suggest you do because that plays a huge part in the second half of this book!
Probably one of my favourite King’s book.
What I loved the most was that the genre of the book itself was evolving/shifting as you went along.
As usual, great character building.

First half was great. The second half sucked. Holly Gibney was annoying and the denouement felt lazy.
