Kiitos. :)

Edelleen superhyvä! Melkein tekisi mieli nostaa arvosana ainakin puolella tähdellä. 4,5 siis! Kirja vei ainakin hetkellisesti lukujumin pois! :)

I'll be honest...I have avoided this series thinking that it wouldn't hold my interest & that it was too surface-level for my reading tastes. Shame on me! I ended up picking it up for a BOTM read with a book club & I actually really liked it! I can't wait to read the rest of the series. Although at it's bare bones...the concept is very shallow...I still enjoyed reading it! I didn't go into this book thinking it would have some deep psychological meaning...I went in hoping for a good story with i

I’ve seen so many other people read this series, so I just had to see what all the hype was about. I really enjoyed this read, even if it didn't have a great deal of depth. The whole thing felt like the YA book version of The Bachelor. I loved the characters in this, unquestionably a highlight. Maxon is seriously adorable and such a genuinely great person, with an enormous heart. I would definitely fight over his heart as well, just saying! I loved reading about America, we love a badass, down t

PRE SELECTION: “Gosh, this book will be EXACTLY like the Bachelor and you know how I feel about the Bachelor. It’s all drama cooked up by some big TV channel to make audiences watch it and claim it to be real.
Also seriously how annoying is it to read another romance book with bitchy bullies who act all nice around the (in this case) Prince? Ugh. Give me a break. Also I bet that Prince Maxon guy or whatever his name is will be one of those “smooth, hot and sexy” guys who just can’t WAIT to lay a ...more

I felt like this was “the Hunger Games” meets “The Bachelor” and I loved it!
I don’t often enjoy the whole 2 love interest thing and not being able to decide between 2 guys but it really worked for me in this one. I usually root for the underdog but each one is an underdog in their own sense. I’m crazy excited to continue this series and see how things play out.

I finished book one, self-titled The Selection and pretty much ate it up like candy, it was addictive and so good! I seriously missed out these past eight years that this book has been out for.
The Selection follows our main character America Singer, who is one of the 35 girls picked to be part of the Selection process that involves Prince Maxon dating these girls to find his future wife and princess to Illea. (Talk about DRAMA).

I enjoyed this book, but I had some problems with it. Most importantly, the writing. There was quite a bit of telling instead of showing. The semi-crappy writing made me sad because it just had SUCH GOOD POTENTIAL OF BEING SO GOOD. Also, it took me a little while to get into it. But once she finally got to the palace and stuff, I enjoyed it more. The characters are good, I just feel like it could go into EVEN MORE depth about them. Another thing is that I just really hate Aspen and I don't under
