I remember reading and enjoying the Chrestomanci series by Diana Wynne Jones as a kid, so when I saw that Howl's Moving Castle is loved by so many readers and one of her more popular books, I decided to give it a go. Upon finishing it, I feel like I might have enjoyed it much more in my childhood, but it was still a fun read.

I'm very glad I watched the movie (many times) before finally getting around to reading the book. Howl's Moving Castle is my favorite Ghibli film. Had I read the book fordt, that might not have been the case! 😂

While there are definitely some differences, they're both amazing in their own right... But I do think I like the book just a little more. As per usual, there's so much more back story. I also feel like I've gotten to know the characters better, and appreciate them even more. Highly recomm
