5/5⭐️’s// What?! I didn’t expect to love this book about video games so much. This book is a love letter to 80’s pop culture. It didn’t matter that I didn’t get all the video game references, there was so many other fun things. I thoroughly enjoyed this willy wonka meets Indiana Jones story. (29/100) #2021Readlist
Meh. It was a good and quick read. I expected it to be more dystopian and political than it turned out to be. Predictable dialogue of a whiz kid geek on an adventure to save virtual humanity but only superficially addresses the massive suffering of real humanity, plus a smattering of a shallow attempt to intermix social issues without providing any serious depth to minority characters.
