Read this one years and years ago for my French class... not an easy book. Maybe reread. Thanks Luis for the recommendation and reminding me!

This was an interesting and very different book than most relating to epidemics and plagues. It presented a very detailed account of the effect of the plague on the town of Oran as a whole, while mixing in a few personal accounts to make it feel real. I was pleased to learn that this was set in Algeria, a different setting than usual, though understandable when you consider that that’s where the author, Albert Camus, is from.
