I absolutely adored this book! Right from the very first few pages I was hooked and just knew I would love it. What a beautiful book. What is there not to like about it? It's a book about books and a bookshop. Of course it's so much more than that. The characters were very likable. The relationships between them endearing. Even the ones that weren't very nice, you somehow couldn't help but feel for them too. So much emotion was packed into the story. To be honest I am struggling to do this book ...more

Really had no idea what to think this book was going to be about, but it is a book club book so of course I read it. Really enjoyed it. I was to go to Alice Island and be with my people among books :)

This was an absolutely delightful read. Loved the characters -all such individuals in an island setting. And integral to it all are the books which AJ recommends. Maya is wonderful.
