"Educated" is batsh*t crazy, and I mean that in a good way. A memoir that puts a voice to the long-lasting repercussions of religious fundamentalism and how difficult it can be to shake your past.
It is frustrating, heartbreaking and enlightening. If you can make it through the vivid and frequent descriptions of abuse, you're left with an example of why education is an important tool in the fight against oppression of women, not just around the world, but also in the U.S. ...more

This book made me feel frustrated, and often sad, and I think not nearly as inspired as the author would have hoped. Perhaps I'm burned out with dysfunctional family narratives.....not sure. This book was fine, but won't be one of my favorites of the year.
