What Members Thought
This book was definitely a bit slow-going at first but finished strong. I gasped like five times toward the end. I loved the little vignettes throughout the book and the author’s storytelling. If your book is going to be 14 hours long, definitely make sure you are a strong storyteller. This was an ~excellent~ book and I am very excited to discuss it at book club.
I can't remember the last time I felt like a book deserved 5 stars. I loved the character development, I loved the storyline, I hated all the right people for the right reasons and the last 100 pages just blew me away!

I don’t know what’s wrong with me but I DNF at page 260. I didn’t care at all about the character or the story.
A heartwarming tale of survival and comraderie.
An excellent story from beginning to end.
