What was he now? Miriam's widower? No. There had to be more to him than that. He couldn't be defined by his wife's death. Where would he go to next? What would his next clue be?

What a heartwarming story! The perfect little cozy read for cold November nights. There's been a lot of books of late about older protagonists going on journeys but Arthur had a particular charm to him. This was a delight.

Downside: Almost the same plot as The Unlikely Pilgramage of Harold Fry and, in a way, A Man Called Ove. Upside: this old guy is really likeable and he really does have adventures tracking down his recently deceased wife's life before she met and married him because of a charm bracelet he discovered amongst her things. I liked the incident with the tiger best. I discovered way before the character did that Arthur and his wife had upside down lives: she had wild adventures before she married him ...more

This was definitely one of the best books I have read in a long time. It was heart warming, charming and made you smile, laugh and also sad in a few places. I fell in love with the characters and the storyline, both were developed very well. It flowed well and was a quick and easy read. This is one book I will recommend to my other book loving friends and will also add this author to my list of favorites.

Charming story of a widower who finds a charm bracelet he never knew his wife had. In discovering the stories of the charms, he learns about his own character as well.

An easy read with so much charm. I laughed and I cried. Such a sweet story about life and relationships. It made me want to call my grandparents to check in.
