Main characters use pronouns they and it. Love it. Also, nice to read speculative type fiction that isn’t dystopian.

I loved this book! Both Sibling Dex (tea monk) and Splendid Speckled Mosscap (robot) are on quests when they meet up. The lessons they (don’t yet realize) need to learn from each other will actually supply answers, but each has to get past their assumptions about the culture and society of the other to do so. The great joy of this book is watching their relationship develop and their layers unpeeled. (I also wish I could be a tea monk — we really need people like that!)

Really enjoyed listening to this book. Very comforting story of what the world could become told through the life of a tea monk and their meeting of a robot. Loved it!
