This is a great read (I said “fun” at first, but that’s really only true of the first half, lol). It’s sort of like grown-up Harry Potter (or Carry On) meets Good Omens, but with all female MCs. It pulled me in and kept me engrossed from the start. It’s honestly a bit straighter than I expected given what I know about Juno Dawson (although there’s a nice little twist!) but I still really enjoyed it.

Not one I would pick up on my own. Supernatural/witchcraft is not in my wheelhouse. I read this one for book club. Really pushes the woke agenda. That was the focus way more than any plot. All the build up and the big fight totally fell flat. Also, the writing seemed strange and the flow was just off, not sure if it was the British terminology or what.
