Going into this collection, I had no idea what I was in for. This is a collection of several short stories and a longer novella. Maybe more like 3.5 but I rounded up. I really enjoyed the short stories at the start of this, and then the titular short story was meh for me. Johnson has a really fascinating writing style, though. I love the way she describes the world around her characters. This was definitely an easy enough read and probably worth it for the first short stories and just the beautiful prose.
