OMG - Finished tonight and just in the nick of time too because book two releases tomorrow. I can't wait to get off work tomorrow and see what happens to Anna and her team. Living The Way isn't one I would have normally read, and I hate to admit, I'm hesitant to buy from a first time self-published author, but thank goodness one of my friends recommended this one because I LOVED it! I will forever be an Ellie Aiden fan. And this teaches me a valuable lesson, not all great authors are best-seller

Finished this is about 24 hours. I loved, Loved, Loved Anna. Likable & Funny. Can't wait for book 2 to come out.
Merged review:
Yes! Yes! Yes! Ya'll when i say I could not put this book down, I ain't lyin'. Anna is so funny. I can't even count the number of times I laughed while reading this book. Ellie Aiden did a really great job of balancing funny with serious so neither seemed forced. I cannot WAIT for book two to come out! ...more

A real comedian...
So often I read books where the author was not able to balance the funny with the serious, but this book is the opposite of that. I bet Ellie Aiden is a real riot in real life, because she creates characters that will leave you in stitches, all the while still being able to draw you in, keep you in, and have you begging for more!
This is a quick and easy read, but that does not mean it wasn't well developed. In fact, I thought the world and characters were perfectly created. Ann ...more

I had the opportunity to read this book before it released on Amazon. It was really fitting for our current situation (pandemic) and I really loved it. The main character was really funny, so if that's your thing, this book is for you. Would definitely read book 2.

A thoroughly engaging and entertaining read.
I keep coming across wonderful indie authors, and Ellie Aiden certainly fits the bill. Living the Way is a topical read for 2020, as it is set in the aftermath of a devastating global pandemic.
Anna Cress, a teenage girl, is coming of age inside the compound of the Church of The Way, a religious cult run by Elders. Outside the compound, what was formerly the USA is now a lawless land dominated by violent gangs … according to the official story.

Living the Way is a powerfully depicted coming of age battle to be who you are while trapped within walls of tyranny. But is the lure of freedom promised on the other side any safer. Many plans are put into place to seek out and obtain the information necessary to make this determination. Heartstrings will be tugged and guts will burst with laughter, an awesome combination that could make this a quick read, but best taken slowly to savor the experience.
