Honestly, this one deserves 5 stars for the message alone. The storyline of a gay teen who hasn't come out yet for fear of his preacher father's views on the matter, is a story that needs telling more often. This is a book that every single parent should read, regardless of their child's sexual orientation. We should all do a better job of just loving, regardless of people's differences, and this book is a phenomenal reminder of that.

An inspirational and moving read.

A thought-provoking book. Set around a suicide attempt near the beginning, it follows the aftermath through different perspectives of the main characters. All of them question their own parts in what led Micah, the pastor’s son, to want to take his own life, rather than reveal his homosexuality. If they had behaved differently, could they have prevented it? The narrative explores perspectives on self-acceptance, guilt, homosexuality, love and acceptance of others

Tenderness is on full display in Micah's Goodbye. A heartwarming commentary about harm caused by faulty thinking.

P.K. Morrison writes a story so touching, tears will be streaming. I strongly recommend reading with tissue close in hand.

A real tear-jerker. AKA - Get your kleenex ready.

The story of Micah was an engaging, the characters were likable, and while I hated the things that were happening, it was a tale that needs to be told more often.

Also, kudos to the author, because it didn't end how I thought it would.
