This was exhausting to read. I wanted to give up reading it, but struggled through. Too many tangents and loose ends. I did not connect with the characters. I was not the audience for this story or maybe I was not in the right headspace to appreciate this book.

Weird, supernatural, out of body, alarming, interesting, and compelling are just a few ways to describe "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle" by Haruki Murakami.

I bought this book at the Strand Book Store when I was in New York a few years ago and I finally sat down and read it. It is an easy read and the book is compelling enough to have kept me entertained and interested in the story, but in the end I can say it was an interesting read, but not a overly satisfying enjoyable read.
