This book had so much potential but it just didn't... move me. It didn't make me care about any of the characters. The main character is rather dull, and the love interest is not fleshed out as a full person. Crake is a bit more interesting but his motivations are kept too hidden. The parts of the book documenting post-collapse should have been edited down as they got really repetitive and I found myself skimming through them to get to the flashbacks to the past.
