What Members Thought

A fun young adult read. Engaging characters and plot with a nice sense of foreboding . A good addition to a genre that's screaming for books like this!

I really liked this book. It's a great coming of age story set during the U.S. prohibition in the 1920s. I learned a lot of history while main character Jarrod fills the shoes of his injured father and has to grow up fast running rum on the waters of Lake Erie around Windsor and the Erie Islands. I found the book to be a realistic view of what life was like for a young man finding his own way in the 1920s. Lots of twists, turns, and action.
