I just didn’t read ( actually re read) this book, I FELT it. Every word, every sentence, every paragraph adds value to describing the painful reality of being a single parent while hopelessly hanging on to the dream that someone somewhere will be one true soulmate. I love Joyce Maynards style and her honesty in depicting such an imperfect mom with intentions to be better. Every single day. It’s a haunting, poignant, story.
