I think this book would be fun and encouraging to almost every homeschooling family. It's extremely relevant. As I read it, I was struck with how things continued to get better ... there were challengers to overcome, and lessons to learn, but the way every member of the family eventually committed themselves to God's way makes for an outlook of hope. It mirrors our real-world situation.
