What Members Thought

This book had me messed up for days after my first read, so, naturally, I had to read it again.
The friendship, the internal conflict, the romance, the backstories-- I just, ugh. Leigh Bardugo is an absolute master at writing intensely delicious scenes while also adding humor as the twists and turns unfold. The main plot itself is not something I would normally be interested in, but Leigh said "Fuck that" and made me interested, invested in the Crows' success and had me praying for their safety ...more

And just like that I was left Shooketh! JUST LIKE THAT! I have no words to describe Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo! No words! It was just this exhilarating thrill ride of a novel that left me as hooked as I was breathless. My heart flipped in my chest as Bardugo's words hit me in the face with all its grace and beauty. This book was a huge disappointment , it took me so long to get through it .I really wanted to like it but it was veryyy boring except for the last 100 pages , and I didn't connect enough with the characters . I didn't like Kaz brekker at all , seriously why do people like him !!! But I liked matthias and Inej though I was surprised a lot of people didn't like Matthias🙄 . But I think I'll read the second book just because the last few pages got me excited ;)

So far this isn't my favorite Leigh Bardugo book. I think I like the grisha trilogy more (haha maybe that will change after I read crooked kingdom. Who knows? Maybe a suli seer.) I do think you should read the grisha trilogy before this one. It mentions some events from ruin and rising. And it also mentions some characters from that trilogy *cough my bae Zoya cough* I also liked that six of crows had ...more
