I'm not a huge erotica fan/reader, but I enjoyed this. It's darker than the 50 shades type of romance, and grittier and moodier(and also darker) than paranormal romance, neither of which I'm a fan. There may be sex included in this story, but those scenes are not the centerpieces, and I didn't find the book sleazy or gratuitous. I rarely read a book in one sitting, but I did with Black Siren. That says something, especially since it's a bit outside of my usual wheelhouse.
I don't think I've ever read an erotic horror story before, but this book had me hooked from the start. Noir tells a truly sexy and dark story with intriguing characters and builds a chilling world.
