The Meyerstown Secret is an unusual book, but in a great way. It is presented as an investigation into the history of an asylum, with case studies and interviews with people who had worked at Meyerstown when it was still operating. Whilst deeply disturbing at times, the events which are revealed by the investigator are entirely believable. It’s a fairly quick read (I went through it in one sitting), but completely absorbing. Not for the weak-stomached, but highly recommended.
