I really enjoyed reading this book, especially the second half which was not for those who hate horror and gore (in which case you should read other books than those in the horror category).

The books opens with the story of Dave, a promising athlete, heading for athletic glory, but things go horribly wrong in his life and key male figures leave and Dave is left with an empty gap in his heart and his life. He becomes an angry, selfish and horrible young man (sadly).
