The Celestial Kingdom Duology reviews:
#1 Daughter of the Moon Goddess: ★★★★☆
#2 Heart of the Sun Warrior: tbr

This is such a cute, intense YA that had me on the edge of my seat. I went into this book with middle of the road expectations, but I was wrong to shoot low because this book soared over my expectations.

I was really excited for this one but it fell a little short for me. There was little development between the main character and those she would be close to throughout the book, so I didn't really have any emotional ties to anyone.

The story did get more exciting towards the end, which helped make up for the lack of development, but I'm not really sure if I was invested enough to pick up the sequel when it comes.
