What a wonderfully "feel-good" book about science! Michio Kaku is a theoretical physicist, and a well-known author of popular books about physics, especially the future of physics. In this book, he strays a bit from physics, and enters the realms of biology, neuroscience, evolution, and the brain. Kaku admits that he is not an expert in these fields. Some startling and scientifically sound speculations (all apparently consistent with the known laws of physics) on the future of the mind, including the possibility that the human brain could one day
be "reverse-engineered", allowing for the possibility of artificial intelligences (AI) greater than that of an average human, as well as a person being able to download/upload their consciousness into some sort of computer/robot before they die, thus insuring a kind of immortality.
