This is all about the basics of science that people need to know to even ask the right questions in our world today. Originally published in the 90s, this edition is a 2009 update, so it's good enough for the basics. The authors do a good job of covering them all & explaining them well. Although I do & have always read a fair amount of popular science, it's been over 40 years since I took any basic science courses.
