This book got me started on evolution. The writing is more friendly than his Consiousness Explained but still has a heavy writing style based on his philosophy background. Made me put down the book for a long while before picking it up again. It does give an overview of what the controversy is in the neo-Darwin world and is mainly an attack on Gould. The book won me over to his "side" but I'd recommend Dawkins Ancestor's Tale to anyone looking for a easy and entertaining introduction to evolutio ...more
