This is a biography of a very interesting women who lived in late 17th and early 18th century Europe. She had a passion for understanding insects. She adopted the rather new idea of developing experiments to learn about her subjects. She was also from a family of artists and publishers. Over the course of her life, she observed and illustrated many insects and their life cycles.
