This is an important collection of speeches made by Greta Thunberg between September 2018 and April 2019 that show how we as a society have failed the next generation. Many have noted that these speeches are too simplisitic and repetitive but this misses the point. They are simple as scientists have spent decades explaining the complexities with little action taken by those with the power to do so. I really like Greta Thunberg and her message. It was awesome to hear these speeches read (mostly) by her.

As a book, it was a bit repetitive - understandably because speeches on one topic are going to contain similar points and phrases. I’d have liked maybe a bit of additional context alongside the speeches, perhaps a chapter outlining the basic science or something.

But overall, it’s worth the time to listen to this audiobook, especially if you haven’t heard anything more than short clips of he
