DNF at 36% of this excruciatingly pedantic 17-hour audiobook experience. I reject the basic premise of the book, so listening for another nearly 11 hours is a task I'm freely deciding not to do.

The author throws up all sorts of arguments pro and con free will. He argues against all the pro-free will explanations. He even argues against some of the con-free will arguments. He settles on a few arguments con-free will. The latter portion of the book deals with the consequences. If there is no free will, how can we punish criminals? Fascinating book about free will, part philosophy, part neuroscience. I found the second half of the book exceptionally interesting and certainly gave me a great deal to think about. I am not sure if Sapolsky convinced me 100% but he sure moved me most of the way in his direction. I find the consequences of that change so much about how I see the world and myself. Definitely going to be something I think about for a very long time.
