David Rubenstein
This book is about applying the methods of physics and mathematics to sociology. There are no equations in this book, and it is easy to follow--but the discussion is unnecessarily verbose as a result. Some equations could have kept the discussion more concise, and perhaps easier to understand, also.

sort of odd. points out that the math used to describe certain physical systems can also be used to describe certain human systems and describes some of these. Modelling can be used but that doesn't necessarily mean that the model results are actual forecasts of what is going to happen. ...more
