Truth is stranger than fiction! A novel about a family of 12 children with half of them ending up schizophrenic would require stretching the imagination, right? But this is nonfiction. And riveting too. It's a deep dive into both the Galvin family experience and the research/medical aspects of the disease.

Audible was well done. Sleep may have been lost in the finishing of this book.

I really enjoyed Hidden Valley Road and it’s narrative of the Galvan family. A family of 12 with 10 boys and 2 girls. Their parents Don and Mimi are very dynamic and interesting people as well.

Six of the boys in the family all manifested symptoms of schizophrenia starting with the oldest son Don. He was a star football player but always felt different like he was experiencing life from a distance. He was very handsome and girls were attracted to him, but his schizophrenia caused his marriage to

Unforgettable

Schizophrenia and all it involves in one family - the Galvins. Read this. You’ll never forget this book or this family’s story.
